As a church, we desire to do more and
more ministry via Small Groups. In fact,
this is part of our
vision as a church. But what does it mean?
What are Small Groups, and what makes them
so effective?
Small Groups are essentially groups of 6 to
15 people who meet on a weekly basis to
study the Scriptures, pray, and have
community. They are important for a number
of reasons. First, the size of our church
makes community far more challenging. With
over 300 people on Sunday morning, it is
difficult to really get to know anyone.
Second, there are things that happen much
more readily in a Small Group than in a
worship service, or even in a Sunday School
class. Things such as fellowship, sharing,
personal evangelism, and being able to get
questions answered.
Grace has two primary means of Small Groups:
Home Fellowships: These are groups that meet
in people's homes throughout the week. Most
start up in August and go through May.
MPACT Ministry: This is Grace's Wednesday
night program and stands for "Midweek
Program for Adults, Children and Teens". On
Wednesday nights from September to May, we
offer Small Groups for Adults at our church
facility. This includes Men's and Women's
Bible Studies and a whole lot more.
To get involved, come on Wednesday nights,
or give the church office a call at
629-1537. We would be happy to help you find
a Small Group that would meet your needs.
