     Social Activities:

¨ Coming up—Valentines Day Dinner on February 11, 2005. We should have no problems this year. Dinner will be at the Webber Center at CFCC.  starting with  appetizers from 6-7:00pm followed by Dinner and entertainment by “Tony D. Classics Jazz”  The cost is $8.00 per person. Tickets go on sale Jan 2nd—Jan 30th. Get your tickets soon because there is limited seating!

      Mercy ministries

¨ This is a busy time of year for the Mercy Ministry. The help to people outside the church has been temporarily suspended to concentrate on the needs of our members and regular attendees.

      Buildings and grounds

¨ Responsibility for the “Cry Room” in the Sanctuary balcony has been transferred from the Deacons and reassigned to Joy Baxley. Joy has started looking at replacing some furnishings. The Deacons will back her up with needed equipment.

¨ The updated drawings for the new shed is waiting in line in the Marion County Engineering Department with many projects ahead of us due to the hurricanes.

¨ The steeple cleaning has been delayed until later in 2005.

¨ We are moving ahead with refinishing all the brass in the church. Corey Neuman is overseeing this project.

¨ The window valances in the Fellowship hall have been altered by Glenn Kaiser to provide more safety.

¨ The New Church Sign is in the final revision stage. The final decision will be approved by the Deacons and the Session.

      Miscellaneous

¨ Ruth Circle has agreed to provide the organizing of a new pictorial directory. They will be getting into the project after the start of the new year. As soon as they are ready they will let us know.

¨ The elimination of a few large trees is scheduled for Saturday, February 5th, 2005.
